Our Culture

Spiral Solutions' mission, vision and values drive our company forward. We're focused on experiencing the joy and excitement of achieving success in the global eGaming market, and leveraging our success to develop a better future in the Galilee region and our community.

Values
Spiral's values are at the heart of our corporate culture. We take responsibility for all our actions, creating results for ourselves, our company and the community. We nurture our employees through recognizing and developing their unique potential. We are passionate about what we do and put our hearts into it. We aim to be innovative and adaptable, achieving success and delivering results through encouraging creativity and originality. We strive to act with integrity and lead by example. We achieve excellence through constantly striving to exceed expectations. And we co-operate with others to share ideas and knowledge.

Culture
Spiral's company culture is a living expression of our values. It starts with our headquarters, where we conduct our day-to-day operations. We chose to locate our headquarters in a non-urban, unconventional environment surrounded by forests and the green Galilee hills. It's a pastoral, predominantly agricultural area overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and close to the historic port city of Akko. It's a place where old meets new—an area rich with tradition and history stretching back to biblical times that now plays host to innovative businesses at the forefront of technology. It's the place where Spiral has created a thriving business with a unique company culture.

Working at Spiral is about far more than putting in a day's work. There is a strong sense of community, of "family" that pervades the company and extends beyond the work day. The Spiral experience starts on the very first day, when new employees are appointed a buddy who is there to help the employee get acquainted with the people, the culture and the company's day-to-day operations. This informal introduction is backed by formal training which is part of Spiral's comprehensive career development program.

Spiral continually introduces programs and services that not only enhance the employee's experience, but their family's as well. We are focused on acting responsibly to nurture our employees, strengthen the Spiral community and encourage excellence. Our employees enjoy the benefits of an onsite nursery, leisure and teambuilding activities, retail discounts, reward plans and educational programs. We believe that it's our culture that results in the long tenure of employees, many of whom have been with the company five years or more.

Onsite Nursery
Spiral's family atmosphere extends into the realm of an onsite nursery which caters for Spiral employees' babies and toddlers. Open daily from eight to five, the fully equipped and cheerful nursery staffed by professional caregivers caters for children from three months to one-and-half years old. The nursery makes it easy for new mothers to return to the workplace with their babies, knowing that they are nearby and in good hands.

Leisure Activities & Celebrations
Every year, Spiral takes time out to go on a company trip. These annual trips are a highlight which employees, accompanied by their families, greatly enjoy. During the year, Spiral also holds fun days and happy hours aimed at improving teamwork and bringing different departments together. These team events also provide an opportunity for Spiral's CEO to update employees on new developments. Spiral's annual company day features an annual review of each department's activities as well as presentation of goals and strategies for the upcoming year. Tradition also plays an important part on Spiral's calendar. All festivals and national holidays are marked through a special event or activity connected to the spirit and meaning of the holiday.

Sports & Recreational Activities
Spiral recognizes the benefits of sport in helping employees stay healthy, recharge their batteries and return to work feeling revitalized. Sports enthusiasts who want to cycle, run, or walk before, during, or after work can take advantage of the onsite showers to freshen up after working out. Spiral team members frequently take part in these activities together—in fact, the Spider Cycling Club started as an informal group of Spiral cycling enthusiasts and grew into a formal club which competes in events countrywide. For those who prefer to remain indoors, regular ping pong games combine camaraderie with competitive spirit.

Employee Discounts
Spiral regularly organizes special discounts for employees and their families for a wide variety of retail outlets as well as to various cultural, leisure and entertainment venues. Discounts are published in the Spiral newsletter, an internal bimonthly publication which features updates on Spiral activities, helpful tips, interviews and news.

Promoting Environmental Awareness through Green Spiral
Spiral's commitment to the environment can be seen in our ongoing efforts to "reduce, reuse and recycle" through reducing the use of disposable plastic, reusing paper and recycling cans and bottles. Green tips, which list practical ways to preserve the environment, are published in our staff newsletter. The company has an organic garden in the adjoining grounds where a variety of herbs and vegetables are grown. Members of the Spider Cycling Club are also involved in efforts to preserve local forests.

Our Community

Our commitment to our community is a core part of our mission. Spiral Solutions partners with a number of community-based, non-profit organizations in the Galilee region, actively participating in planning and implementing projects that have a direct impact on the people living here.

Nitzanei Galil

In 2003, Spiral Solutions recognized the need to assist underprivileged children in our region. Our initial project, an after-school club for children in Karmiel, thrived from its inception. Two years later, Nitzanei Galil grew into a fully-fledged organization run by Spiral. Nitzanei Galil's activities now include enrichment and tutorial programs, daily hot and nutritious meals, monthly field trips and summer camps. Our employees are actively involved in the after-school enrichment program, participating in the day trips and devising and presenting activities for the children on a biweekly basis. Through our continued support and recruitment of additional donors, Nitzanei Galil continues to provide a nurturing environment for these deserving children.

Etgarim
Etgarim is a non-profit organization which focuses on helping individuals with special needs rehabilitate themselves physically, mentally and socially, through challenging sports and outdoor activities. Spiral partners with Etgarim to create and participate in activities for a special needs class at a school in nearby Tefen. The school integrates special needs children into the regular school system and lessons. "The company adopted a class of cerebral palsied children and took part in the special program of outdoor challenges put together by Etgarim. The challenges are aimed at building the children's self confidence and boosting their self esteem," according to Galit Fleishman, Etgarim's office manager. Spiral volunteers developed the yearly activity program for the class and accompanied the children on a variety of challenging activities including snappling, cycling and short camping trips.

Pitchon Lev
Pitchon Lev is a humanitarian organization fighting to defeat poverty in Israel. We are actively involved in working with Pitchon Lev to achieve this goal through donations and volunteering. Twice yearly, before Passover and the High Holidays, Spiral employees, led by the CEO, head over to the local Pitchon Lev branch in Karmiel to assist with their food drive, assisting with sorting, packing and distribution. These food drives help out hundreds of people in our immediate area and provide much-needed support. "Spiral shares our vision and supports our activities," says Dafna Mazor, manager of the Karmiel branch. "The company's employees show dedication, commitment, perseverance and giving with love."

Spider Cycling Club
Founded by Spiral employees in 2005, this informal cycling group has rapidly become one of the fastest-growing cycling clubs in Israel. Today, the Spider Cycling Club is one of the leading, professional cycling clubs serving the northern community. Trained by a world-class coach, the club currently has cyclists in every age group. In the past few seasons, Spider Cycling Club members have taken numerous prizes, including a second place finish in the National Israeli Mountain Bike Championship. In addition to developing the sport, the Spider Cycling Club works to foster the local Galilee forests and uses their activities as a youth educational tool to help young adults reach their maximum potential.
