Our commitment to our community is a core part of our mission. Spiral Solutions partners with a number of community-based, non-profit organizations in the Galilee region, actively participating in planning and implementing projects that have a direct impact on the people living here.
Nitzanei Galil
In 2003, Spiral Solutions recognized the need to assist underprivileged children in our region. Our initial project, an after-school club for children in Karmiel, thrived from its inception. Two years later, Nitzanei Galil grew into a fully-fledged organization run by Spiral. Nitzanei Galil's activities now include enrichment and tutorial programs, daily hot and nutritious meals, monthly field trips and summer camps. Our employees are actively involved in the after-school enrichment program, participating in the day trips and devising and presenting activities for the children on a biweekly basis. Through our continued support and recruitment of additional donors, Nitzanei Galil continues to provide a nurturing environment for these deserving children.
Etgarim
Etgarim is a non-profit organization which focuses on helping individuals with special needs rehabilitate themselves physically, mentally and socially, through challenging sports and outdoor activities. Spiral partners with Etgarim to create and participate in activities for a special needs class at a school in nearby Tefen. The school integrates special needs children into the regular school system and lessons. "The company adopted a class of cerebral palsied children and took part in the special program of outdoor challenges put together by Etgarim. The challenges are aimed at building the children's self confidence and boosting their self esteem," according to Galit Fleishman, Etgarim's office manager. Spiral volunteers developed the yearly activity program for the class and accompanied the children on a variety of challenging activities including snappling, cycling and short camping trips.
Pitchon Lev
Pitchon Lev is a humanitarian organization fighting to defeat poverty in Israel. We are actively involved in working with Pitchon Lev to achieve this goal through donations and volunteering. Twice yearly, before Passover and the High Holidays, Spiral employees, led by the CEO, head over to the local Pitchon Lev branch in Karmiel to assist with their food drive, assisting with sorting, packing and distribution. These food drives help out hundreds of people in our immediate area and provide much-needed support. "Spiral shares our vision and supports our activities," says Dafna Mazor, manager of the Karmiel branch. "The company's employees show dedication, commitment, perseverance and giving with love."
Spider Cycling Club
Founded by Spiral employees in 2005, this informal cycling group has rapidly become one of the fastest-growing cycling clubs in Israel. Today, the Spider Cycling Club is one of the leading, professional cycling clubs serving the northern community. Trained by a world-class coach, the club currently has cyclists in every age group. In the past few seasons, Spider Cycling Club members have taken numerous prizes, including a second place finish in the National Israeli Mountain Bike Championship. In addition to developing the sport, the Spider Cycling Club works to foster the local Galilee forests and uses their activities as a youth educational tool to help young adults reach their maximum potential.
